A’Ja Wilson once again proved why she is the WNBA MVP, leading the Las Vegas Aces to a commanding 102-77 victory over the Seattle Storm.

With 29 points and eight rebounds, Wilson not only propelled her team to their 17th consecutive playoff win, but also surpassed Angel McCoughtry, securing the tenth spot on the league’s all-time postseason scoring list.

This achievement highlights Wilson dominance and shows that the Aces have no intention of slowing down, despite those who doubted their ability to remain serious title contenders.

A’Ja Wilson leads the Aces toward a historic playoff record

In an interview with Scott Van Pelt of ESPN, A’Ja Wilson made it clear that the team doesn’t get distracted by outside noise.

“You know, the main thing is the main thing. “We let people express themselves. Our mantra is always ‘stay composed no matter the distractions,’ and that’s exactly what you see today. We never gave up, we stuck together, and we’re simply executing strong basketball within our game plan.” It’s gone well so far, but we still have work to do,” Wilson said.

Relentless defense: The key to Las Vegas success

While scoring 102 points in a playoff game is impressive, the Aces true strength lies in their solid defense, which A’JaWilson highlights as a cornerstone of their game under coach Becky Hammon.

“She tells us every day. It’s the most important thing we review in practice; the most important thing is defense. We had to come together, strengthen our defense, and I think that’s what you see in Aces basketball right now,” Wilson explained.

The Storm managed just 25 points in the first half (12 in the first quarter and 13 in the second). Demonstrating the defensive level that can make the difference in the postseason.

The Aces not only rely on their offense but also combine tactical discipline and collective effort to dominate every aspect of the game.

This balance between attack and defense makes Las Vegas a real threat to any opponent, especially in best-of-seven series.

With A’Ja Wilson leading the way, backed by a team that understands the importance of every possession and every play. The Aces appear poised to leave a historic mark on the WNBA.
