During the foundation’s annual gala on October 20, $1,508,000 was raised to support initiatives in health, education, and child welfare in underprivileged communities.

The Chiefs used the occasion to showcase how Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, continue strengthening their bond with the city, proving that athletic success and social responsibility can go hand in hand.

Every dollar raised was distributed immediately, including $150,000 in college scholarships for 15 students. Mahomes founded the organization in 2019 with the mission of providing opportunities for children who lack the resources he had growing up.

The Chiefs eye a historic stadium move

While Patrick Mahomes continues leaving his mark on Kansas City. The Chiefs management is exploring a future that could redefine the franchise, a potential stadium move from Missouri to Kansas.

With design proposals sent to top architectural firms, the organization is considering building a state-of-the-art dome near I-435 and I-70. Capable of hosting major events like the Super Bowl and the Final Four.

The lease at GEHA Field expires in 2031, and both Kansas and Missouri are competing to retain the team. The Chiefs currently have two parallel options, renovate Arrowhead Stadium or invest in a new covered stadium in Kansas.

Whichever path they choose will affect not only the team’s identity but also Patrick Mahomes future with the franchise.
