Josh Allen is riding high. NFL MVP, undisputed leader of the Buffalo Bills, and newly married to Hailee Steinfeld. Add to that a six-year, $330 million contract, and you’ve got one of the highest-paid players in the league. But when asked what he plans to do after football, his answer has nothing to do with Hollywood, podcasts, or analyst panels. Allen wants to disappear.

In a recent episode of the “Fitz & Whit” podcast, hosted by Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth, the Bills quarterback opened up about his post-NFL future. While he’s appeared in ad campaigns like the one for Pepsi, Josh Allen made it clear he doesn’t see himself acting or chasing celebrity status off the field. “I have some creative control in the commercials, but after football… I’d just like to disappear,” he admitted.

No interest in post-NFL fame

As reported by TheSportsRush, Josh Allen doesn’t envision himself acting or pursuing fame outside of football. That statement might surprise some—especially coming from a player with charisma who could easily become a media figure. But it seems Allen wants to keep his feet on the ground. “That’s not for me. I’ll leave it to the professionals… and to my wife,” he said with a laugh, referring to Steinfeld.

Meanwhile, on the field, Josh Allen remains a serious threat. Since 2020, he’s thrown for over 4,000 yards every season. His ability to run and pass makes him one of the most complete quarterbacks in the league. With his aggressive style and leadership, Allen keeps the Bills in the conversation as serious contenders in the AFC.

Retirement vision

Off the field, Josh Allen seems to have a different priority: peace and quiet. He’s not looking to become an influencer or a sports analyst. His idea of retirement sounds more like that of a fan enjoying the game from the stands than a celebrity chasing the spotlight.

In a world where many athletes plan their second careers before finishing the first, Josh Allen’s plan to step away feels refreshing. And in a media landscape full of noise, his desire for silence makes him stand out even more.
