Brian Schottenheimer, offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, didn’t miss the chance to analyze the performance of his star receiver, CeeDee Lamb, following the team’s impressive comeback victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Although Dallas managed to complete a surprising 21-point comeback, Lamb did not have his best day, dropping three crucial passes, two of them in the fourth quarter when the win was still on the line.

“He has that look that says he’s serious. He’s ready to play. There will be plenty of balls for number 88 on Thursday afternoon,” commented Brian Schottenheimer, highlighting that the Cowboys star appears “excited” and ready to redeem himself in upcoming games.

This confidence from the coach shows that, despite the mistakes, the offense still relies on Lamb to keep Dallas competitive on their path to the playoffs.

Conversations and adjustments from Brian Schottenheimer after Lamb’s mistakes

CeeDee Lamb had a key conversation with Dak Prescott after the errors, focusing on how to improve his concentration and precision.

“Just looking for ways to improve. You want to be solution-oriented. Don’t give the problem too much weight,” Lamb said, according to Jon Machota.

Brian Schottenheimer emphasized the importance of this mindset, stressing that elite receivers must take responsibility for their mistakes and learn quickly to keep the offense strong.

The interaction between Prescott and Lamb was crucial for the receiver to regain confidence. With less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter, Lamb perfectly positioned his hands to catch a decisive pass. Though Eagles defender Cooper DeJean managed to knock the ball away.

Still, Dallas’ defense secured the victory, allowing Lamb and his teammates to celebrate a vital win.

Brian Schottenheimer also noted that if CeeDee Lamb returns to his usual form. The Kansas City Chiefs’ secondary could face a serious challenge on Thanksgiving Day.

Lamb’s motivation and communication with Prescott show that he is determined to close any gaps in his game.

For Schottenheimer, the key will be keeping Lamb focused, excited, and ready to take advantage of every opportunity.
