On Friday, the New York Knicks defeated the Celtics, but OG Anunoby caused concern after experiencing discomfort in his foot. Fans feared it was related to his previous ankle injury, which had kept him off the court during the preseason.
Anunoby scored 10 points in 29 minutes during that game. He had also scored 24 points in the season-opening win over the Cavaliers just two nights earlier.
Anunoby ready to return to the court
According to the New York Post, Anunoby reassured fans after Saturday’s practice. “I feel good,” he said, confirming that the issue was only a cramp and not connected to his previous ankle problem, as coach Mike Brown had explained.
Brown emphasized the team’s depth and collective strength: “That’s how good teams are… You can’t win with just one person. The whole team is capable. Especially on our team, many guys can step up. Depending on how the game goes or how we are defended, it could be anyone’s night. We’re 2-0 and will continue to improve as the season progresses. That’s our main goal, to keep progressing. … Everyone can play, everyone has NBA talent. We have many players ready to contribute when called, to help the team win.”

Josh Hart shines in season debut
Brown also reported that Josh Hart performed exceptionally well in his season debut on Friday, after missing several weeks due to back spasms. Hart grabbed 14 rebounds, prompting Brown to call him “a monster… monstrous game.”
Brown added: “His effort was incredible, especially on the glass. Between three players, we had 15 offensive rebounds—KAT [Karl-Anthony Towns], Josh, and [Guerschon] Yabusele. Josh played 19 minutes and had six. It was incredible.”
With Anunoby back and Hart contributing, the Knicks show strong depth and readiness as the season progresses.
