The unfortunate day arrived
Robinson has had to undergo dialysis up to three times a week, each session lasting four hours, all to stay alive. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Nate said, “I don’t have much time left if I don’t get a kidney transplant.”
Unfortunately, only 17,000 Americans receive a kidney transplant each year, out of 101,000 on the waiting list. However, fortunately, after years of pain and struggle, the former basketball player will survive and share some good news. After not giving up during these difficult times, Nate is finally ready to resume his normal life. He posted this news through his Instagram account.

One must believe in God and miracles
“I’m here to celebrate and thank the LORD for everything He has done in my life, today is the day I will receive my new kidney, thank you to everyone who sent prayers and text messages to my phone giving me encouragement and love! You’re a fool if you don’t believe in GOD and the miracles He performs! Amen,” Robinson wrote.
After going through immense pain for several years, he will now receive the kidney transplant. This is wonderful news for Nate, his loved ones, and those who have prayed for him. He expresses his gratitude to his followers for their good wishes and prayers.
Robinson’s fans made thousands of kidney donation offers
In an interview, Nate admitted that he wouldn’t survive if he didn’t receive the kidney transplant. Everyone around him was worried about the situation. However, according to Baxter Holmes of ESPN, fans came to the rescue as soon as they learned that the former NBA star had health problems. The man who made this possible was Tank Johnson.
Tank approached Nate with an incredible idea, which was approved by the former basketball star. “At that moment, Johnson collaborated in producing a video that was shown on a giant screen during the spring football game held on May 3 at the University of Washington in Seattle.
In the video, the audience was directed to a spot on campus where they could fill out a form to check if they were compatible to donate a kidney.” According to ESPN, the idea was a complete success.
A few days later, the same message was tweeted by the school and shared by Robinson on his Instagram account. Thousands of responses quickly followed. People came together to help the former NBA player. When Nate learned of this, tears began to roll down his cheeks.
Through this campaign, he realized how many people were wishing him the best. Now, after a long battle, Robinson hopes to live a healthy and happy life with his children, as he is ready for the kidney transplant.
