Ever since he was traded from the Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, he hasn’t stopped making headlines. Now, the Slovenian not only has to perform well in games but also during practices and warm-ups. That’s where he recently made some enemies.

The Luka Doncic trade is called the biggest blockbuster in the NBA, an unprecedented deal. Many of his new teammates celebrated his arrival to the team. However, some of them don’t seem to be enjoying it as much.

Luka Doncic: The most hated among his teammates

This happened during the Lakers’ warm-up against the Nuggets. Luka Doncic was not the most loved man in the stadium, at least not by his teammates. In a video shared on NBAonESPN’s Instagram account, you can see the Lakers’ player making a half-court shot. While Luka Doncic prepared, some of his teammates watched intently. What he did or didn’t do with that shot would have repercussions for them. And it did.

When Luka Doncic made the shot, all the players getting ready for the game dropped to the floor and started doing a series of push-ups. At that moment, it’s possible that all the Lakers’ players wished the Slovenian had missed the shot. However, it was part of the warm-up, and none of them were spared; they had to do their push-ups without complaining.

Anyway, it seems that despite his teammates’ hate, the warm-up worked. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 123 to 100 at Ball Arena. So, maybe, after all, Luka Doncic’s teammates are happy he wears the purple and gold uniform.
