The Curry family tradition that Cameron Brink follows, championships etched in ink
Sydel Curry-Lee, Steph Curry sister, shed light on the deeper meaning behind the family’s tattoos. According to her, every NBA championship comes with a special ritual, a tattoo party where the entire family gathers to commemorate their legacy in ink.
“We throw tattoo parties. Especially after every championship, we’ve had Nino Lapid come over. He’s done pretty much all my tattoos. And our whole family is there, so he comes and tattoos us for about 12 hours,” Sydel explained.
Cameron Brink and the Curry family secret tattoo ritual
This tradition dates back to 2017 when the Golden State Warriors secured their second championship under coach Steve Kerr. That year, Steph Curry invited tattoo artist Nino Lapid to his home to continue the ritual. Since then, the family has celebrated every victory the same way, engraving permanent memories on their skin.
Steph Curry, Seth Curry, Dell Curry, and Ayesha Curry have all taken part in this tradition, marking their bodies with symbols of unity and success. Among the most well-known tattoos is the one Steph and Ayesha share—a Hebrew phrase that reads, “Love never fails,” a reference to 1 Corinthians 13:8.
With each title and each tattoo, the Curry family has built a legacy in ink, and now, Cameron Brink is part of it. Will there be more tattoos in her future? With the Currys, anything is possible.
