Nicki Minaj drops one word and chaos erupts
Following that post, Nicki shared several more tweets, some veiled, others not, aimed at SZA. One included an old video of the singer performing The Weekend, accompanied by a mocking caption:
“Singing Spanish with English words. B*tch singing in italics,” Nicki Minaj wrote, making it clear she wasn’t backing down.

A tweet war of shade, mystery, and threats
This feud isn’t new, but it’s taken a more personal turn. Nicki Minaj suggested that SZA’s manager, presumably Punch, was behind a smear campaign after she allegedly rejected a business proposal.
Though Minaj never dropped names, her message was loud and clear. SZA replied with a cryptic post:
“Mercury retrograde… don’t take the bait lol silly goose.”
But Minaj wasn’t pacified. In fact, she fired back harder. In one of her most brutal tweets, she downplayed SZA’s relevance in the industry:
“If all your songs disappeared right now, the music industry wouldn’t even miss you.”
Fans were split, some praised Nicki Minaj brutal honesty, while others accused her of crossing the line.
One thing’s for sure, Nicki Minaj knows how to control the narrative, sometimes with just a single word. Meanwhile, SZA and her team have remained silent, only adding fuel to the fire.
Is this just a clash of egos, or a deeper fracture in the female music industry? With Nicki, silence never lasts long.
