Recovery initiatives and hope led by Magic Johnson

Off the field, Magic Johnson leads the LA Rises initiative, focused on rebuilding communities affected by the January wildfires.

With support from the Mark Walter Family Foundation and the LA Dodgers Foundation, up to $100 million has been pledged to aid recovery in areas like Altadena, with a strong emphasis on preserving the local African American heritage.

Magic Johnson also visited young victims directly, bringing hope and resources to the Pasadena Boys & Girls Club.

His presence, backed by a $25,000 donation from Cigna Group, conveyed a powerful message of resilience and community.
