His performance has been key for the Colts to achieve a 7-1 record, the best in the league, throwing for 2,062 yards and 13 touchdowns, while adding four rushing scores.
His QBR of 80.4 places him second in the NFL, and under pressure he reaches an impressive 91.8, surpassing Josh Allen’s previous record.

Daniel Jones reborn in Indianapolis, rewriting his NFL story
“Daniel Jones is playing with complete control,” said a Colts source. “He stays calm when things get tough, is decisive, and delivers in clutch moments.”
Against the Titans, he completed 21 of 29 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns, distributing the ball efficiently among Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Jonathan Taylor, who also caught a touchdown pass.
Colts offense shines thanks to Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor
Running back Jonathan Taylor has been the perfect complement for Daniel Jones. Against Tennessee, Taylor needed just 12 carries to rack up 153 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to catching a touchdown pass from Jones. The connection between the two has been crucial for the team’s offensive success.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Colts already plan to keep Jones beyond his one-year contract.
“They are interested in bringing back Daniel Jones on a long-term deal after the 2025 season,” Rapoport stated.
This renewed prominence marks a dramatic shift from last year, when few expected Jones to be back in the spotlight in MVP discussions.
