Flacco, who led the Browns to the 2023 playoffs, returned this season hoping to replicate that success. However, his stats fell short, with only two touchdowns and six interceptions before losing his starting spot.
Shedeur Sanders speaks with admiration and composure
“He was definitely someone I leaned on for wisdom. He helped me a lot during my time in Cleveland. Everyone has their own destiny and their own plans in life, so I’m happy for him,” said Shedeur Sanders. Revealing a personal connection with the veteran quarterback.
The young talent also recalled his last encounter with Flacco at the team’s facilities:

Sanders between criticism and opportunity
While Shedeur Sanders showed respect for Flacco change of course, some analysts raised concerns about his own future.
On his podcast, Bomani Jones suggested that Sanders career might be in jeopardy if Dillon Gabriel continues to shine with the Browns.
“If Shedeur Sanders can’t get on the field for a team where Dillon Gabriel is playing, maybe he should consider doing something else,” Jones remarked bluntly.
Despite the criticism, Shedeur Sanders remains calm. His father, Deion Sanders, has repeatedly expressed confidence that his son will have the chance to establish himself as a starter.
With the quarterback market constantly shifting and the Bengals betting on experience. Sanders comments about destiny may be more revealing than anyone realizes.
