Kevin Durant: From the Ravens to the Chargers: an unexpected turn
However, a 1-3 start to the season, combined with Jackson’s hamstring injury, forced Durant to reconsider his prediction.
Now, Kevin Durant is backing the Los Angeles Chargers as AFC favorites, highlighting Justin Herbert as his fantasy football quarterback.

“I chose the Ravens. For now, I’m sticking with the Chargers. My AFC pick is the Chargers. Herbert is my fantasy quarterback,” Durant admitted, making it clear that the injury and early-season performance had changed his strategic calculations.
This shift reflects not only the attention Kevin Durant pays to individual player performance but also his ability to analyze complex scenarios within the league, showing that his sports insight extends far beyond the basketball court.
Washington Commanders: The NFC constant
Interestingly, Kevin Durant remains firm in his NFC prediction. In August, he had selected the Washington Commanders to face the Ravens in the Super Bowl and still believes Jayden Daniels will lead the team to a historic victory.
“I’m going to play against the Commanders. A little battle in Washington. Of course, the Commanders win. Jayden Daniels, the Super Bowl MVP,” Durant stated.
Even though the Commanders started the season inconsistently with a 2-2 record, and Daniels missed the last two games due to injury, Durant maintains his faith in the potential of the second-year quarterback.
This consistency in his predictions demonstrates Durant passion for following the NFL and his ability to combine strategic analysis with sports intuition.
