With his recent rise to five-star status according to Rivals, Savion Hiter now stands not only as the top running back in the country but as a player capable of shifting the entire recruiting landscape.
Currently, Michigan sits just one spot behind Ohio State in Rivals’ Team Recruiting Rankings. But if Hiter chooses Ann Arbor, the Wolverines could leapfrog their archrivals. Momentarily taking the lead in the B1G recruiting war.

Charles Power’s scouting report leaves no room for doubt, “Savion Hiter is a smooth runner with sharp cuts, explosive acceleration, and elite instincts. He’s the type of player who doesn’t just gain yards, he changes games.”
With only 12 recruits across the nation having received five stars so far, Hiter already belongs to a very exclusive club.
Between emotion, loyalty, and strategy
Though his recruitment process has been more discreet than others, some of Hiter own comments have offered hints about his preferences.
He’s praised Tennessee and its coaching staff, and he’s spoken openly about his connection with Tony Alford. Now at Michigan after his stint at Ohio State. That very relationship could be the tipping point in favor of the Wolverines.
Meanwhile, in Columbus, no one is conceding defeat. With a strong history of developing running backs and success in the B1G, the Buckeyes still have plenty to offer.
But if Savion Hiter decides to wear maize and blue, we could be witnessing a pivotal shift not just in rankings, but in the immediate future of college football.
