Throughout her career, Serena Williams amassed $95 million in prize money, but her vision always extended beyond the court.

In 2017, she founded Serena Ventures, her own venture capital fund, aimed at supporting innovative startups.

What started as a strategic initiative has transformed into a financial powerhouse, with over 85 investments across various industries, including artificial intelligence, social media, and sustainable food.

Among her biggest successes, Serena Ventures has backed 14 “unicorn” companies, businesses valued at over a billion dollars, such as Impossible Foods and Masterclass.

Expansion into sports and entertainment

Serena Williams empire doesn’t stop at investments. In 2009, alongside her sister Venus, she became a minority shareholder in the Miami Dolphins, a franchise now valued at $6.2 billion.

Additionally, in her venture into golf, Williams owns the Los Angeles Golf Club, a team competing in the innovative TGL league created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Entertainment is also part of her portfolio. Through her production company, Nine Two Six, Serena Williams has driven film projects, including the documentary Copa 71, which highlights a forgotten women’s soccer tournament.

Her influence extends to publishing with the children’s book The Adventures of Qai Qai and into the beauty industry with Wyn Beauty Cosmetics.

For Serena Williams, success isn’t just about winning on the court but about redefining the rules of the game in the business world.

Her legacy goes beyond tennis, solidifying her as one of the most influential athletes in the history of entrepreneurship.
