Mike Tyson has addressed the speculation surrounding a potential Parkinson’s diagnosis following the shocking statements made in Jake Paul’s podcast.
Tyson lost to Paul by unanimous decision in a professional boxing match in November, marking the 58-year-old veteran’s return to the ring for the first time since 2005. Concerns about Tyson’s physical condition grew as the fight progressed, and the outcome seemed inevitable after several rounds in the eight-round bout.

Health issues for Mike Tyson

The legendary “Iron Mike” faced health complications during his preparation for the fight, including a bout with an ulcer during a flight, which forced the original May date to be postponed. Despite the doubts, the Texas Boxing Commission cleared Tyson to step into the ring, allowing him to complete the eight rounds after undergoing rigorous physical training.

Jake Paul claimed Tyson has Parkinson

In his latest podcast, Paul made a surprising revelation, claiming Tyson used toad venom, a psychedelic substance, to alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson’s. However, there is no evidence supporting the idea that this treatment has any effect on the disease.
In a conversation with streamer Adin Ross, Paul made a bold statement: “The toad venom is what cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s, enabling him to get back in the ring and fight.”
The podcast host did not challenge Paul’s statement nor ask him to elaborate on the details of his claim.

A misunderstanding quote

In response to the comment, a representative of Tyson assured TMZ: “Mike is in excellent health and perfectly fine. He does not have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”
Later, Paul took to Twitter to clarify that he had “misspoken” in his statement, writing: “Mike Tyson didn’t have Parkinson’s. What the heck is wrong with the Internet? It’s so ridiculous! I misspoke.”
“What I meant to say is that he used a toad to ease his discomfort. He’s mentioned it several times. Just like I have. And so have many others.”
