An emotional message was sent by Deion Sanders, head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, to rapper Kendrick Lamar through the social media platform X.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night in Super Bowl LIX. This matchup served as a rematch of the Super Bowl from just two seasons ago, when Mahomes secured his second championship.
The Eagles started the game with intensity and went into halftime with a commanding 24-0 lead. This set the stage for Kendrick Lamar performance during the Super Bowl halftime show in front of the audience at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Lamar halftime performance

Kendrick Lamar halftime show prominently featured his acclaimed track “Not Like Us,” which won multiple Grammy awards last week, including song of the year and record of the year.
The legendary NFL figure and head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders, admired Lamar’s performance at the marquee event and shared his praise on social media, sending a message to the Compton native.
“@kendricklamar God bless you, brother!” Sanders wrote on X. “That’s how it’s done! We’re proud of you, man. You represented us WELL!”

Kendrick Lamar had previously performed during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Three years ago, at Super Bowl LVI, he shared the stage with 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.

Deion Sanders Super Bowl career

Deion Sanders has a strong Super Bowl pedigree, having won two titles over his 14-year NFL career. The former cornerback played a crucial role in the San Francisco 49ers’ victory during the 1994 season, his only year with the team. He also helped the Dallas Cowboys secure their third championship in four seasons in 1995.
