Carlos Alcaraz surprised everyone by appearing at Estadio Nueva Condomina to support Real Murcia in their Primera Federación match against CE Sabadell.

The young Spanish star, world number one and pride of the Murcia region, showed that his passion for sports goes beyond the tennis courts.

His presence did not go unnoticed; greeting locals and making his way to his seat, Alcaraz once again demonstrated his closeness to the community that watched him grow.

Carlos Alcaraz: a special bond with Murcia

Carlos Alcaraz is not only a global tennis icon; his commitment to his hometown is evident in every public appearance.

He was recently honored as “Best Athlete of the Murcia Region” at a gala held at Hotel Nelva, accompanied by his father, Carlos Alcaraz González, and his agent Albert Molina.

At the event, motorcyclist Ana Carrasco was also awarded Best Female Athlete, highlighting local talent.

“Being recognized as the best athlete of the region is a great personal joy, and receiving the award is both exciting and an honor,” Alcaraz told LA Vanguardia.

These words reflect his deep connection to Murcia and the pride he feels representing his community on the international stage.

Beyond tennis: passion and future goals

Despite his tennis success, Carlos Alcaraz keeps his passion for football and his local club alive. Real Murcia defeated CE Sabadell 1-0, and Alcaraz plans to attend the upcoming Copa del Rey match against Real Betis.

This dedication shows that his influence extends beyond the tennis court. Becoming a role model for young athletes across different sports.

In 2025, Alcaraz added two Grand Slam titles—US Open and Roland Garros—to his record. Bringing his total to six and accumulating 24 ATP titles at just 22 years old.

Looking ahead to the 2026 Australian Open, he aims to expand his legacy on hard courts. Where he has yet to surpass the quarterfinals.

“My first big goal in 2026 will be the Australian Open. I hope to play at a high level and win the title,” Alcaraz stated.
