The 2025 WNBA All-Star Friday Night was packed with energy, as basketball stars gave their all on the court. The three-point contest and the skills challenge were golden opportunities to show what WNBA players are made of.

With Caitlin Clark’s absence, other players had a chance to shine—and that’s exactly what happened during the skills competition. One young star stood out so much that no one could ignore her.

The New Yorkers dominated at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

According to Athlon Sports, New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu won the three-point contest after a spectacular final round in which she scored 30 points.

In the skills challenge, Natasha Cloud, also from the Liberty, claimed the trophy, making the Liberty the most outstanding team of the night. In fact, they made history at the WNBA All-Star event.

As the official WNBA X account posted: “It’s a Liberty sweep at WNBA All-Star Friday Night.” The New York team became the first ever to win both competitions in WNBA All-Star history.

Additionally, Sabrina Ionescu became the second WNBA player ever to win the three-point contest in back-to-back years. The first to achieve this feat was Allie Quigley.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana hosted these historic moments of the WNBA All-Star Game. Now, the venue is preparing for Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m., when Team Clark will face Team Collier on their home court.
