Women’s college basketball set new records thanks to Caitlin Clark’s performance. She was a top prospect for the WNBA and was drafted first overall by Indiana Fever. However, injuries completely changed her path and tested her both professionally and personally.

Clark was ruled out for this WNBA season. She will also miss the playoffs, a difficult situation for a rising star like her. During her recovery, she partnered with pharmaceutical company Lilly. Her goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle for children.

An unexpected question for Clark

According to The Sports Rush, Caitlin Clark recorded a video with children at a school as part of this partnership. Some kids had the opportunity to ask the Fever star questions.

One teenager, Michelle, asked Clark: “What has been the hardest truth about yourself that you’ve had to face, not just as a player but as a person?

Clark reacted immediately and said: “That’s a really good question, I’ve never thought about that… I’m so competitive and emotional, and sometimes that can be really challenging. I feel like finding a way to control your emotions has always been something I’ve had to navigate.”

This side of her personality has been very evident, and she believes it’s what makes her good at basketball. However, she also recognizes that it probably isn’t always the best.

It’s no secret that the Fever star has argued with other players or had conflicts with referees on the court. While it’s understandable that she reacts to things that frustrate her, these actions have led to technical fouls and penalties from WNBA officials.
