Caitlin Clark is back in action — but this time, far from the WNBA courts. After recovering from an injury that interrupted her league season, the Indiana Fever star will once again participate in the Annika Pro-Am of the LPGA, an event that brings together top golf and sports figures from around the world.
Clark expressed her excitement about sharing the course once again with Annika Sörenstam, a true icon of women’s golf, and Nelly Korda, the current LPGA champion and one of the sport’s brightest stars. Before the tournament, Clark openly shared her admiration for both athletes.
According to Essentiallysports, the Fever star said: “Yes, they were, I mean, two people I loved watching play golf. And Annika is obviously a legend in the sport. And everything she’s done for the game has been absolutely tremendous.”
A unique experience
Clark recalled last year’s Pro-Am as an unforgettable moment. “Being able to watch their game up close and how easy golf looks for them makes me incredibly jealous,” joked Clark. “I was trying to pick up some tips from them, as best I could. But honestly, it was just a really fun and unique experience for me!”

Clark maintains a partnership with Gainbridge Insurance, the event’s main sponsor, further strengthening her connection to the tournament. This year, she’ll be joined by Kai Trump, granddaughter of Donald Trump and future player at the University of Miami.
During last year’s Pro-Am, Clark played nine holes with Nelly Korda. At the end of the round, Korda signed three golf balls for her and jokingly asked for a signed basketball in return — a promise Clark happily agreed to fulfill.
In the second half of the event, Clark teamed up with Annika Sörenstam, building a bond of mutual respect and admiration. This year, the Swedish legend also expressed her excitement about teaming up again, saying: “It was an honor to play in the pro-am with Caitlin last year. Her passion and competitiveness were fun to witness firsthand.”
Although her immediate future remains tied to basketball, Clark continues to show that her competitive spirit transcends sports. Her return to the Pro-Am not only highlights her love for the game but also her eagerness to keep learning from the very best.
