The Chicago Sky defeated the Minnesota Lynx in a highly anticipated WNBA showdown, and Angel Reese used the moment to silence her critics with a dominant performance. On Saturday, Reese once again showcased her star potential as the Sky faced off against one of the league’s top teams.

During the game, the 23-year-old forward took on one of the WNBA’s elite wings, Napheesa Collier, in a tough individual battle. Reese rose to the challenge, posting an impressive double-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. The Sky came out on top with a hard-fought 87-81 victory, handing the Lynx their fourth loss of the season.

A bold statement on and off the court

According to Athlon Sports, Reese formed a dominant frontcourt duo with Kamilla Cardoso, who also had a remarkable night. Cardoso recorded 17 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, helping to seal the win for Chicago.

After the game, Reese didn’t hold back, delivering a strong message aimed at those who doubted her and Cardoso earlier this season. She stated: “Big Mil. Not the little one… At the beginning of the season, we took it personally that people didn’t believe we were the best young frontcourt in the league.”

Clearly, those words weren’t just talk—they’ve been motivation. Since then, the Sky have gone on a winning streak, including a solid 87-76 victory over the Dallas Wings just days before. Reese and Cardoso’s chemistry and presence have been instrumental in this run.

With consistent performances and fearless energy, Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso have proven themselves as the top young frontcourt in the WNBA. Their recent success is not only a response to criticism—it’s a statement of dominance. The message is clear: the Chicago Sky are rising, and Reese is leading the charge.
