Due to a back injury, the Chicago Sky ruled Angel Reese out for today’s game against the Atlanta Dream. This marks the fourth consecutive game the star has missed, and her coach confirmed there’s no return date yet for the two-time All-Star.

Clearly, this situation doesn’t sit well with Reese, who is currently focused on recovery. Meanwhile, she has stayed very active on social media, which led her to notice a post from Phoenix Mercury star DeWanna Bonner on Wednesday — a post she didn’t ignore.

A quick reaction from the Sky’s star

According to Athlon Sports, Angel Reese reacted quickly to Bonner’s post. Bonner had just parted ways with the Indiana Fever, right in the middle of the professional women’s basketball season — a move that stirred things up across the WNBA.

Through her Instagram, the former Fever player shared a series of photos showing off her elegant game-day outfit. The post quickly caught attention — including that of Angel Reese, who commented: “So beautiful!!”

This comment shows how Reese has built strong relationships with veteran WNBA players off the court. Earlier in the season, Bonner expressed support for the Sky and said: “We keep cheering for each other and having those conversations when needed.” She said this after the WNBA launched an investigation into fan hate comments Reese received during a Sky vs. Fever game.

“That’s not what we stand for as players. That’s not what the Indiana Fever organization stands for. It’s zero tolerance,” Bonner added.

And Bonner isn’t the only one supporting Reese. It seems the 23-year-old forward has also earned the respect of other WNBA veterans like Minnesota Lynx MVP Napheesa Collier and Indiana Fever’s Kahleah Copper.
