Angel Reese doesn’t need to appear in a photo to be the center of the conversation. The Chicago Sky star grabbed headlines again—this time because of a gesture that lit up social media. Her teammate Rachel Banham posted a 20-image carousel on Instagram to mark her tenth season in the league. And not one of those photos featured Reese. Fans didn’t let it slide, reacting with a mix of surprise, sarcasm, and digital fire.

“Leaving AR5 out of every photo is wild,” one user wrote. Others were more blunt: “She’s a loser,” read several comments. The post, which showed 11 players sharing moments together, reignited rumors of internal tension and fueled speculation about a possible trade. According to Sportskeeda, Angel Reese had already voiced her frustration with the team’s performance and publicly called for roster changes. The organization responded with a fine and a half-game suspension. But the most telling sign came when she was benched for the final four games of the season.

Despite the noise, Angel Reese keeps winning off the court. Her “ Reese 1” sneaker line with Reebok sold out in under five hours. During an Instagram live, she didn’t hesitate to clap back at critics: “I keep the mother******* receipts,” she said, celebrating her commercial success with the same fire she brings to the paint.

On the court, Angel Reese had a strong rookie campaign. She led the WNBA in rebounds with 12.6 per game and posted career highs in points (14.7), assists (3.7), and combined steals and blocks (2.2).
