WNBA fans eagerly anticipate the game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever. They expect to watch a thrilling showdown between stars like Angel Reese and possibly Caitlin Clark. The Sky teamed up with Mattel to host the second annual Barbie Game Day at the United Center.
Everyone knows that Reese shares a strong connection with Barbie. At LSU, people even called her Bayou Barbie. When Chicago drafted her, fans started calling her Chi-Town Barbie. The team promoted Barbie Game Day on Instagram using her image.
Could Reese miss the game?
Athlonsports reported a minor setback that might keep her out. Reese suffered a back injury and left the court during the game against the Seattle Storm. So, will she play against Indiana?
“You can still shine a light on the person—on the human that Angel is—whether she’s in uniform or not. You can still show that appreciation for who she is, what she’s done, and what she represents.”

When reporters asked head coach Tyler Marsh, he responded quickly:
“Availability is the most important thing. The good news is that we can still highlight Angel’s personality—who she is as a person and human being—whether she’s in uniform or not. We can still show appreciation for her, what she has accomplished, and what she represents to so many.”
Marsh praised the 23-year-old star further: “Recognizing her will be great, whether she plays or not. Watching her in action is always a treat. But even just being in the building to enjoy a Chicago Sky game and still represent Angel matters.”
Caitlin Clark faces a similar situation. Her groin injury has left fans unsure whether she’ll play in this highly anticipated game.
