Valencia made a €15 million offer to sign a star player from Arsenal, but the English club rejected it. The Spanish side is asking for around €25 million for one of their key defensive assets.
After finishing second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons, Arsenal aims to strengthen their squad to go even further. That’s why they have already confirmed the signings of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martín Zubimendi, and a few attackers. However, they have not managed to land Valencia’s highly-valued defender.
According to Plaza Deportiva (via GOAL), Arsenal already has a personal agreement with Cristhian Mosquera, but their €15 million bid wasn’t enough.

Arsenal shows interest in Premier League stars
Several experts, including Micah Richards, are surprised by Arsenal’s interest in players like Noni Madueke. He even questioned where the club plans to use Madueke, given they already have Bukayo Saka.
Richards said: “I like Zubimendi. We saw him in the Euro final when Rodri went off. Very good player, tactically sound, strong on the ball, with great midfield awareness. Gyökeres is an excellent striker. I think a striker is more important than bringing in Madueke as a starter.”
“Madueke… where will he play? Lately, he’s been playing on the left for Chelsea. I really like him as a player, but I prefer him on the right—and he’s not going to play ahead of Bukayo Saka, is he? So I’m scratching my head about that move. I get that you need two players per position, but Saka is almost always fit, at least until that bad injury.”
