Kylian Mbappé doesn’t just know how to weave past defenders—he’s got moves for the stage too. The Real Madrid forward used his post-Club World Cup break to travel to Puerto Rico and join the most talked-about musical event of the summer: Bad Bunny’s residency at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, titled “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí.”

Mbappé wasn’t alone. He was joined by Achraf Hakimi, his close friend and former PSG teammate, with whom he shared the locker room for several seasons. Both players were spotted dancing and singing along to hits like “Tití Me Preguntó” and “El Apagón,” alongside urban artist Eladio Carrión.

Mbappé takes over Puerto Rico

According to Marca, at one point during the concert, Mbappé grabbed the mic and shouted. “¡Acho, PR es otra cosa!”. A phrase that lit up the crowd and quickly went viral across social media.

Mbappé and Hakimi’s presence wasn’t just a celebrity cameo. Beyond the spectacle, it underscored the growing bond between sports and urban culture. Bad Bunny has turned his residency into a magnet for stars, previously hosting LeBron James, Ricky Martin, and José Juan Barea. Now, football joins the list of high-profile guests embracing the Boricua sound.

Besides, Mbappé, who was recently knocked out of the Club World Cup semifinals by PSG, seems to have left any competitive tension behind. His relaxed demeanor and closeness with Hakimi show that their friendship remains strong—even after facing off on the pitch.

A symbolic moment for Mbappé

This event also marks a symbolic chapter in Mbappé’s career. After his high-profile move to Real Madrid and a season full of expectations. The French star is taking a breather before returning to Valdebebas for preseason training under Xabi Alonso. His official debut is set for August 19 against Osasuna. And all signs point to Kylian aiming to lead the team to new silverware.

Meanwhile, Puerto Rico pulsed with his presence. Even with the ball temporarily at rest. Mbappé knows how to make the most of his downtime—and how to enjoy his vacation to the fullest.
