On Sunday, during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Jackson suffered an injury. He left the field with a leg issue, casting doubt on his future this NFL season.
The Ravens suffered a crushing 37-20 defeat, which only increased Jackson’s frustration. Several other players also left the game due to injuries, worsening the outlook for Baltimore.
A hamstring injury that fuels frustration
According to the New York Post, Jackson’s issue is a hamstring injury. Head coach John Harbaugh said after the game: “I don’t have any update on the seriousness… It doesn’t look season-ending for any of those guys.”
Regarding Jackson’s visible frustration on the field and sidelines, Harbaugh explained it was more about the loss than the injury. When asked if Jackson would have returned had the Ravens been winning, he replied: “I really don’t have the answer to that right now.”

Historic struggles and multiple injuries
For the first time since 2015, the Ravens hold a 1-3 record. Along with Jackson, other key stars went down: linebacker Roquan Smith, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, and cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins. That’s an alarming number of losses in a single game.
The team now awaits official medical updates on the severity of these injuries. Running back Derrick Henry told reporters: “The injury bug is real for us right now… Hopefully, our guys can recover and get back out there. You never want to see players go down.”
The Baltimore Sun reported that Harbaugh held a possible team meeting after the game, staying behind closed doors with his players in the locker room. Meanwhile, Jackson did not speak to the media because he was receiving medical treatment.
