Taylor Swift currently enjoys immense fame, making her a highly sought-after collaborator for many artists. One of them is Lil Nas X, who recently spoke about a potential musical partnership with the pop star.

During an interview with E! News at the GLAAD Media Awards, Lil Nas X revealed that he had worked with Swift on one of his songs. However, they never managed to complete the track successfully, as it did not meet her expectations.

A failed attempt

According to Lil Nas X, “She offered to let me try a verse on something, but I couldn’t catch a vibe for it, so it didn’t happen.” He deeply regretted this missed opportunity, admitting that he felt so disappointed he “didn’t even want to talk about it.”

For Lil Nas X, collaborating with Taylor Swift could have been a major success. He praised the singer, saying, “I’m proud of my girl… I love the album. She’s been doing her thing. She’s at the very top. I’m grateful she even considered me.”

Although this particular collaboration did not come to fruition, there is still hope that they may work together in the future. Until then, Lil Nas X will continue to admire Swift, who is currently dating Travis Kelce.

Lil Nas X’s Biggest Wish

As for his career, after releasing Days Before Dreamboy, Lil Nas expressed his desire for artistic freedom. “I want to be myself more than ever in this era… I want to be completely free out there, just doing what I want to do. If I don’t want to do something, I won’t do it.” His determination to stay authentic remains a key part of his identity in the music industry.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of energy and vibes in his creative process. “If I don’t want to be somewhere, I won’t be there. More than ever, I believe it’s crucial to stand firm in myself, my power, and to be mindful of where I direct my energy.”
