Although Tom Brady ’s retirement is now official and his marriage to Gisele Bundchen ended more than two years ago, their story continues to make headlines. This time, sports analyst Rob Parker stirred the pot by defending the former quarterback and questioning the decisions made by the Brazilian supermodel.

According to reports from Sportskeeda, Parker made his comments during the show The Odd Couple, where he labeled Gisele Bundchen as “selfish” for ending her relationship with Tom Brady just as he chose to extend his NFL career for two more seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Parker argued that the narrative portraying Tom Brady as someone who chose football over family is incomplete. “She had a baby eight months after the separation,” Parker said, implying that there were other factors behind the breakup.

Fierce criticism

Parker’s remarks didn’t go unnoticed. In a world where public figures are constantly scrutinized, his comments opened a new chapter in a debate many thought was long settled. Was Tom Brady selfish for continuing to compete? Or was Giselle Bundchen unwilling to adapt to the demands of a sports career that was already nearing its end?

What’s certain is that Tom Brady has publicly reflected on his role as a father. In his personal newsletter “199,” he admitted that being a great player didn’t automatically make him a great dad. However, he emphasized that the values he applied on the field—discipline, leadership, and consistency—do shape how he raises his children.

Fatherhood first

Far from fueling drama around his divorce, Tom Brady seems focused on embracing fatherhood—a role he enjoys and takes pride in. He often shares moments with his kids on social media, celebrating their achievements. One standout example is his son Jack, who trains with the University of Michigan’s men’s basketball team. Brady posted photos of Jack in action, hinting that the athletic legacy might live on at home.

Meanwhile, Gisele Bundchen has kept a lower profile, concentrating on her modeling career and personal projects. Although she hasn’t directly responded to Parker’s comments, her post-Tom Brady life appears to be one of rebuilding and freedom.
