Shaquille O’Neal decided to raise the stakes for the NFL this year and once again placed his trust in the Dallas Cowboys. The NBA legend called out ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and increased the pressure on a team that hasn’t won a Super Bowl since 1995.
Everyone knows Smith’s open disdain for the Cowboys. Right when he criticized Jerry Jones’ franchise, O’Neal stepped in with a proposal that left fans stunned.
Two major bets
According to a report by Essentiallysports, the former NBA star told Smith: “I live on a 50-acre farm here in Texas. If they don’t win the Super Bowl, you can have my farm… Here’s the deed to Tex Johnson’s farm. If we don’t win that Super Bowl, it’s all yours. You can have the deed and the trust—it’s yours.”
It seems like Shaquille O’Neal is dead serious about his bet on the Cowboys for the 2025–26 season. In fact, he even showed the deed to “Tex Johnson’s farm.”

In addition, he sent a message to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott: “Come on, Dak Prescott! I believe in you, Dak!”
He also dared to make another risky bet: “If we lose to the Eagles, I’ll wear this dress in front of my restaurant at the Paris Hotel. With no underwear.”
Is this for real? Whether it is or not, it definitely adds excitement to the upcoming NFL season. It would be quite a spectacle to see Dallas win the Super Bowl after a 30-year drought.
Apparently, the franchise is doing everything it can to build a competitive team this season. That’s why they drafted East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. Once he fully recovers from his injury, he could become a major surprise for the Cowboys.
Revel recorded 70 tackles, 3 interceptions, 12 pass breakups, and a pick-six in three years. We’ll have to wait until October to see whether he breaks into the rotation or earns a starting spot.
