Micah Parsons is coming back to AT&T Stadium, but this time wearing a different jersey and carrying a different paycheck. The star linebacker, now with the Green Bay Packers, will face the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday in a matchup that promises tension over nostalgia. Just a month after his trade, the atmosphere in Arlington is anything but warm. And as ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky put it on First Take, fans have every right to boo. “Boo him if you want,” he said bluntly, as reported by Firstsportz.

Micah Parsons’ departure was the result of a drawn-out contract dispute with the Cowboys. Team owner Jerry Jones refused to budge, and the Packers stepped in with a four-year, $188 million offer. That deal made Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Orlovsky believes Dallas actually did him a favor: “They sent him away from a team that’s not competitive and handed him $150+ million. Boo him if you want.”

Tension in the air

The tension isn’t just in the stands. Jerry Jones has already confirmed there will be no tribute video for Micah Parsons, drawing a clear line between legends like Emmitt Smith and more recent stars. Parsons himself didn’t seem disappointed, though he said he’s hoping for a “warm welcome” from fans. Ryan Clark, former player and Orlovsky’s colleague, joked about the situation by comparing it to Luka Doncic returning to Dallas after a fictional trade to the Lakers. “If I were the Cowboys, I’d put shirts on every seat that say ‘Hope your beard never connects.’”

A pivotal game

This game matters for both sides. The Cowboys come in at 1–2 and are missing key players like CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs. The Packers are looking to bounce back after an unexpected loss to the Browns. Betting lines favor Green Bay, and Orlovsky didn’t hold back: “They’re going to get smoked. This defensive line is going to torch Dallas.”

Micah Parsons has already said he wants to sack Dak Prescott at midfield. The quarterback responded with a laugh: “I just hope it’s not painful.” But beyond the jokes, Parsons’ return to Dallas is an emotional test for a fan base still bitter about his exit. And if he dominates in his old stadium, the noise will be impossible to ignore—on the field and off it.
