Micah Parsons isn’t just suiting up for the Green Bay Packers this season—he’s also showing that his love for boxing goes far beyond conditioning drills. In a conversation with GQ Sports, the linebacker revealed that Amari Cooper—whom he calls his “OG”—was the one who introduced him to the world of boxing. Since then, Parsons has incorporated fight techniques into his training, convinced they help sharpen his explosiveness and control on the field.

That influence was evident in his Packers debut. Micah Parsons played a key role in the 27–18 win over the Commanders. With 1.5 sacks in two games, Parsons hasn’t yet matched the 12 he posted last season, but his physical presence and aggression are already making a difference. According to TheSportsRush, the defender admitted he can’t live without his boxing gloves and that the sport has taught him how to master his movements with precision.

Micah drops the bomb

But the real headline came when Micah Parsons casually dropped a bombshell. He said he’d be open to stepping into the ring for a celebrity boxing match once his NFL career wraps up. And he didn’t name just anyone. On his list are Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and Chad Ochocinco. “Jake Paul, we can line it up. Logan Paul, too. Ochocinco, let’s do it. But after football, after football,” Parsons said with a calm but confident tone.

The idea isn’t far-fetched. Jake Paul, who defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in November 2024, is 28. Micah Parsons, at 26, would be a perfect match in terms of age and media appeal. Both have strong social media followings and experience performing under pressure. Their fan bases alone could turn the bout into a viral spectacle.

Still locked in on the NFL

For now, Micah Parsons remains focused on his season with the Packers. His training includes box jumps, squats, landmine presses, and dumbbell rows—all designed to boost power and stability. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn’t regret the blockbuster trade that sent Parsons to Green Bay, but Packers fans have already “thanked” him online after seeing the linebacker’s immediate impact.

Micah Parsons isn’t just aiming to dominate the NFL. He’s dreaming of the ring. And if Jake Paul is game, the challenge is already out there. The boxing ring might just be his next arena—once he hangs up the cleats.
