Dak Prescott, star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, took to social media to share his thoughts on the departure of one of his longtime teammates. His heartfelt words made waves across the NFL, leaving fans and analysts touched by his message.

Through his Instagram story, Dak Prescott was direct yet deeply emotional. He simply wrote, “Thank you,” to acknowledge his teammate’s departure to a new team. The quarterback showed his softer side with this simple but impactful gesture.

The goodbye that went viral

Although Dak Prescott did not delve into specifics about Cooper Rush’s departure, he expressed his gratitude for Rush’s contributions to the team and their shared journey. Fans and analysts quickly latched onto Prescott’s message as a genuine show of affection.

“Thank you, brother ❤️,” was Dak Prescott’s exact response when news broke of Rush leaving the Cowboys. The touching post appeared shortly after Rush’s two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens was officially announced.

Eight seasons as a cowboy

Cooper Rush exits the Cowboys after eight seasons with the team, during which he shared a close friendship with Dak Prescott. Rush played a pivotal role during Prescott’s injuries, stepping in when needed to keep the team afloat.

Accompanying the message, Dak Prescott shared a photo of Rush wearing the Dallas Cowboys uniform, set against the word “SIGNED.” According to reports, the post originated from an account announcing Rush’s deal with the Ravens.

Fans were quick to react to Dak Prescott’s farewell, praising it as a reflection of the respect and camaraderie between the two players. Though Rush was briefly released in 2020 after Andy Dalton joined the Cowboys, he returned when Prescott suffered a serious ankle injury. Rush went on to lead the team to four consecutive victories in 2022 when Prescott was sidelined again.

Rush now embarks on a new chapter of his career with the Ravens. His departure has left a void in the locker room shared with Dak Prescott, but the Cowboys remain ready and equipped for the upcoming NFL season.
