Aaron Rodgers breaks his silence: unexpected advice for the Steelers 311-pound star after his viral play

Dak Prescott is in one of his best stretches. In his latest outing, he threw precise passes, scored touchdowns, and sent a clear message: he’s fine, he’s present, and he’s still the Cowboys’ captain. During the 40–40 tie against the Green Bay Packers, cameras caught the quarterback using a heating pad on his lower back, sparking concerns about a possible physical issue. But Prescott himself shut down the noise with a line that blended humor and veteran poise: “I guess it’s just an age thing.”

The moment happened during NBC’s broadcast, when reporter Melissa Stark noted that Dak Prescott had used heat therapy on his back multiple times. In a sport where every gesture can be interpreted as a red flag, speculation spread quickly. Still, the signal-caller finished the game without complications—and with his best performance of the year. He completed 31 of 40 passes (77.5%), threw for 319 yards, delivered three touchdowns through the air, and added another on the ground.

Stats and swagger

According to sports outlet Marca, Dak Prescott even joked with Stark after the game. He showed that his leadership isn’t just about numbers—it’s about presence. The issue for Dallas wasn’t their quarterback. In fact, analysts agree the defense showed cracks again. The offensive line also took hits, with Cooper Beebe and Tyler Booker already out, and now Tyler Guyton leaving the game with a concussion. He’ll need to clear protocol before facing the Jets.

The tie against Green Bay left mixed feelings. On one hand, the offense led by Dak Prescott proved it can compete at the highest level. On the other, the team still struggles to close games and leans too heavily on its captain to stay afloat. Opposing kicker Brandon McManus became the unexpected hero, tying the game with a 53-yard field goal and sealing the score in overtime with another from 34.

Better than ever

Dak Prescott is fine. He said it, showed it on the field, and backed it up with stats. But the Cowboys need more than a healthy quarterback. They need consistency, depth, and defensive answers. Because even if the captain doesn’t burn out, the team can’t keep living on the edge. The season is just beginning, and Dallas already knows: without balance, not even the best version of Prescott can carry it all.
