Cam Ward is the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The rising star from the Miami Hurricanes feels excited about his future as a professional football player. In fact, he has already revealed which team he hopes to join in April.

The 22-year-old quarterback met with the coaching staff of the franchise he wants to play for. He left that meeting with nothing but positive impressions, believing it would be a dream come true for him.

The best QB in the Draft

Cam Ward currently stands as the top quarterback prospect in the Draft. He even ranks ahead of Shedeur Sanders, whom experts expect to go No. 3 to the New York Giants.

The Tennessee Titans own the first overall pick, but Ward has his sights set on another team. The young star revealed that his biggest “dream” is to play for the New Orleans Saints, a team he has admired his entire life.

“It would be a dream to play for them if I ever get the chance,” Ward said after meeting with the team that won the 2009 Super Bowl. However, the Saints hold the ninth pick in the Draft, making it highly unlikely that Ward’s wish will come true.

Despite this, he feels thrilled to have met the Saints’ staff and their new head coach, Kellen Moore. “It was a great meeting… If you get the chance to play under a Super Bowl-winning coach like Coach Moore, he knows how to design a great playbook,” Ward stated.

“The Saints were one of my favorite teams growing up… As a kid, I loved watching Drew Brees and Colston out there.” However, he understands that the Saints’ draft position puts him at a disadvantage, making it unlikely he will play in the Superdome—at least not this season. “That’s not really my main focus right now,” he added.
