Andy Reid returned to action, and the Kansas City Chiefs proved it with a strong preseason performance. Some of their stars, like Patrick Mahomes, stood out on the field in an exceptional way.

These results have fueled the hopes of the “smooth operator.” His biggest wish? To bring the franchise back to the Super Bowl and win the season. He believes the team has everything needed and trusts his players’ performance.

Is the preseason performance a sign of what’s coming?

According to Bolavip, Andy Reid knows exactly which stars are shining in the preseason. Patrick Mahomes has been the most mentioned name, delivering a spectacular performance. It seems to signal what the Chiefs are preparing for the 2025-26 season.

The franchise seeks revenge after falling just short in the last Super Bowl. Now, Reid’s squad has what it takes to go far. Both Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are in excellent shape.

Mahomes’ stats prove it. In the last game against the Bears, he completed 8 of 13 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown. Ahead of the first match against the Chargers in Brazil, Chiefs’ head coach Reid said:
“Pat looks smooth. Confident. He trusts that group. I thought it was a pretty smooth operation tonight. I mean, it’s preseason, but the operation had no issues, and we needed some reps out there. So, I think the starters on both sides did well.”

The date is set for September 5 in São Paulo. That’s why Reid plans to prepare his team over the next weeks. “In 13 days, we’ll head to São Paulo. So, this was important. We got some reps in. We’ll polish some things over the next weeks to get ready to play against a good Chargers team.”
