Even though the last NFL season didn’t end the way the Kansas City Chiefs had hoped, their players are ready to give everything this time. Head coach Andy Reid has everything he needs to maximize the potential of his entire roster and guide the team back to the top. Second-year wide receiver Xavier Worthy made that clear during training camp, showing strong determination and focus.
But Worthy isn’t alone in his commitment. Many other players have stepped up with the same level of intensity. According to a report by Bolavip, one defensive lineman could become a key piece in Reid’s strategy for the new NFL season. That player is Mike Danna, a seasoned and adaptable defender who’s gaining attention for his flexibility on the field.
Key moves to leverage versatility
Mike Danna’s versatility makes him a valuable weapon for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. He’s capable of playing in different positions depending on what the game demands. Through Sports Illustrated, Danna sent a strong message to head coach Andy Reid, expressing his willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team.

“With my game, I just try to be versatile, and whatever the coaches need, whatever my teammates need. If they trust me to go in and produce, or line up inside and do what I need to do, then that’s what it is,” Danna stated.
He understands the challenges of shifting roles, especially when the techniques and footwork vary greatly between positions. Still, he embraces the difficulty as part of what makes him valuable. “But it’s always a challenge, going from outside to inside, because it’s always different footwork, always different techniques. But you just have to be able to adapt, man… You know, if you’re able to adjust on the fly, you can really excel.”
Danna and the rest of the Chiefs have one goal in mind: winning. They’re determined to leave behind the disappointment of last season’s Super Bowl, where they suffered a tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and make a strong push for the 2025–26 NFL title.
