UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers opened up about her experience as a college student and revealed how she manages both academics and the demands of NCAA women’s basketball.

Overcoming academic struggles

To help students facing similar challenges, Paige Bueckers offered a clear tip: ā€œIf you feel overwhelmed, lean on others… Ask for help from professors, advisors, or anyone who can support you. Don’t hesitate to seek guidance.ā€ She emphasized that no student should feel like they have to handle everything alone.

Handling exam and game pressure

Paige Bueckers highlighted that preparing for exams and competing in basketball require different strategies. When it comes to tests, she said: ā€œYou have to prepare… I use practice questions and flashcards because they really help me understand the conceptsā€.

However, when stepping onto the court, she takes a different approach: ā€œI just trust my preparationā€. For her, consistent training and repetition build the confidence needed to perform under pressure.

Through these insights, Bueckers proves that balancing elite sports and academic success is possible with the right mindset and discipline.
