Before UConn’s semifinal matchup against Villanova in the Big East Tournament, KK Arnold made an unexpected move that caught everyone’s attention. The Huskies’ star player showed just how relaxed she was with her teammates before the game, creating a lighthearted moment that stood out during warm-ups.

As the team prepared for tip-off, Arnold decided to teach assistant coach Chrys Dailey a viral TikTok dance called “Say A Little Prayer.” The lighthearted interaction added a fun and playful touch to the pregame routine, helping to ease any tension before the high-stakes matchup.

KK Arnold’s dance worked wonders

It turns out Arnold’s dancing method might have been the perfect pregame strategy. UConn went on to win the game, with star player Paige Bueckers leading the charge. She dominated the court, scoring 23 points while adding six assists and one rebound.

Arnold’s dance routine proved so effective that it might become a new tradition for the team. If the Huskies continue to find success, they may consider making the TikTok dance a regular part of their pregame warm-ups.

On the opposing side, Sarah Strong had a standout performance for Villanova. She put up an impressive 20 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists, making her one of the Wildcats’ key players. Meanwhile, Arnold herself had a quieter performance, contributing just one point and one rebound.

UConn’s success goes beyond TikTok

Of course, UConn’s victory wasn’t solely because of Arnold’s dance. Head coach Chrys Dailey has played a crucial role in the team’s long-term success. She has been with the program since 1988, helping the Huskies win 11 national championships over the years. Her leadership and experience continue to be a driving force behind UConn’s dominance in women’s basketball.

Now, UConn is set to face Creighton in the Big East Tournament final at Mohegan Sun Arena. Will Arnold and her teammates perform another lucky dance during warm-ups? Fans will have to wait and see if the Huskies stick to their pregame ritual as they attempt to defend their championship title.
