It was here that Huskies fans were relentless against Dan Hurley. The responses to the tweet were immediate, and the comments became increasingly direct against one of the NCAA‘s most coveted coaches. For instance, one college basketball fan wrote, “HAHAHA, keep crying Dan Hurley.”
But this wasn’t the only one. The space lent itself to Storm supporters boasting about their team’s victory and superiority on the court. “That was dominant, Dan Hurley was left looking foolish. He seemed firm for most of the second half. No way we could beat this team today,” read another comment.
Bitter Defeat
This loss for the Huskies comes right after Dan Hurley and his boys triumphed over Villanova Wildcats. However, they couldn’t replicate the same against the Red Storm of St. John’s and were left wanting more.
Following this bitter result, Dan Hurley’s team dropped to fourth place in the Big-East standings. Meanwhile, the Red Storm hold firm in first place with a 24-4 record. There are still 4 games left to be played, and we’ll see on Thursday if the Huskies reconcile with victory when they face the Georgetown Hoyas.
