Texas Longhorns star Arch Manning shared how he manages to go unnoticed in the hallways of the University of Texas at Austin. Surprisingly, the 19-year-old is recognized on campus, but he has found ways to avoid too much attention.
As one of the top quarterbacks in college football, Manning gained fame after impressing as Quinn Ewers’ backup last season. Now, he has a strong chance of becoming Steve Sarkisian’s starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
How he stays low-key in Austin
Through his TikTok account, Arch Manning revealed that staying away from the spotlight in Austin is easier than people think. This is surprising, considering the Longhorns have over 100,000 fans attending their games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

When asked how he avoids being the center of attention, Arch Manning explained: “As long as you act like everyone else and live your life, it’s pretty easy… Obviously, it’s a bit harder on campus, just being recognized. Other than that, it’s been solid.”
Privacy was a key concern in his recruitment
Manning’s brother, Heid Manning, revealed that privacy was one of the quarterback’s biggest concerns during his recruitment process.
“I remember he asked a lot of questions outside of football… Nothing about NIL money or the NFL. He wondered, ‘Will I be able to escape and maybe go somewhere where people don’t recognize me as much?’ And outside of Athens, Tuscaloosa, and Austin, it’s definitely Austin for that,” Heid told 247Sports.
With a potential starting role ahead, Arch Manning’s presence on campus might become even bigger, but for now, he seems to have found a way to balance fame and everyday student life.
