The model Winnie Harlow received a marriage proposal from Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma. After nearly five years of being together, the couple made their engagement official during the Valentine’s Day weekend.
As expected, the ring now on Harlow’s finger did not go unnoticed. This happened after they shared on Instagram how the proposal took place.
A special engagement in a dreamy location
She now wears an 8.5-carat oval-cut diamond ring with two baguette stones. Kuzma gave it to her as part of a very romantic surprise during a getaway to the Turks and Caicos Islands. There, the couple vacationed together for the first time.
“I never asked her what kind of ring she liked or anything… I just wanted to create something that I felt resembled her, something that was elegant, yet very timeless and simplistic at the same time,” said the basketball player, who spent three months designing the custom piece.

He made the proposal on a private jet he rented, whose cabin was decorated with balloons, roses, champagne, and chocolates. He began reading a poem he had written, with the final sentence being, “Will you be my wife?”
Before the NBA star presented the ring, Winnie Harlow responded with a “Yes.” Upon landing, they went to a villa, where their family members were waiting, and surprised them.
When they arrived, Harlow dropped to her knees and started crying from the overwhelming emotion. Later, Kuzma took her to the backyard pool, where a DJ played “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge. Afterward, they enjoyed a surf-and-turf dinner with wine, which ended with another surprise: a fireworks show.
