Injuries complicate a demanding trip
According to Mundo Deportivo, the situation worsened with another key confirmation. Stephen Curry will not travel. The point guard will stay home to continue his rehabilitation. Kerr detailed the decision, explaining: “He will not travel. He will stay home. It was unlikely he would play the back-to-back games.” The coach added that the break will allow a possible return against Minnesota, while the team hopes to get him back soon.

The 112–124 loss to Oklahoma City showed the current gap between the teams. The Thunder have won 13 straight games and dominate the league. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 38 points. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren added solid production. Golden State fought hard. Brandin Podziemski and Pat Spencer led with 17 points each. Seth Curry added 14. Draymond Green, Gary Payton II, and Buddy Hield each scored 13.
The absences turn the road trip into a much bigger challenge. Golden State needs defensive balance and offensive stability. Curry’s absence and Butler’s uncertainty will force immediate adjustments. Kerr will look for expanded roles for young players and veterans. The team still struggles to find consistency in a difficult season.
