There’s no doubt that Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has changed the game on his own. His 6’2″ frame hasn’t stopped him from dominating the NBA court. In fact, he’s become a clear example of how to thrive on an elite team without being as tall as his teammates. But how is this possible?
The answer lies in his incredible ball-handling skills, which have made him a standout player for the Warriors for the past 16 years. He now inspires men of average height, including comedian Katt Williams, who stands at 5′5″. A basketball lover, Williams has emulated Curry’s playing style. Today, he even claims he helped Curry become the greatest shooter in NBA history.
The right advice at the right time
According to a report by Firstsportz, the rapper appeared on the Vulture podcast a few months ago. There, he denied the rumors that he trains with Stephen Curry. However, he insisted that he played a role in pushing the 37-year-old player to shine as a Warriors star.

“I’m responsible for the best shooter in the NBA, no doubt about it. I told him: ‘Hey, man. You’re out here earning $5,000 for a celebrity basketball game, but you’re one of the best shooters to ever live. Do you understand that if you take your game to the NBA, either they’ll have to change something, or you’ll be the best shooter to ever exist?’” said Williams.
Still, the comedian admits he’s not sure if Curry actually followed his advice. What is certain is that Curry did everything necessary to become the player Williams described. So, did he listen to him after all?
