Some basketball players boast impressive stats and shine on the court. Then there are those destined to make history and etch their names into the NBA’s record books. Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry belongs firmly in the latter category.

At 37 years old, the talented player has achieved yet another unprecedented milestone in his already stellar career, solidifying his place as a basketball legend. Despite competing alongside a roster of younger players, Stephen Curry remains the Warriors’ brightest star—and deservedly so.

Stephen Curry makes history

It’s no exaggeration to call Stephen Curry the greatest shooter in NBA history. The numbers back it up. On Thursday night, Curry hit an extraordinary milestone with the Warriors, sinking his 4,000th career three-pointer.

In a game already packed with excitement, this moment was truly historic. The Warriors triumphed over the Sacramento Kings, 130-104. However, it was during the third quarter that Curry’s brilliance took center stage, as he hit the shot that crowned him the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers. This achievement is one only a player of Stephen Curry’s caliber could have reached.

Home-court brilliance

Curry now reigns as the undisputed leader in NBA three-pointers, leaving the next closest player, James Harden, far behind. In fact, as of his 37th birthday on March 14, Stephen Curry leads Harden—currently with the Clippers—by a comfortable margin of over 800 three-pointers (Harden has 3,127). Meanwhile, retired star Ray Allen sits third on the all-time list with 2,973.

Post-game,  Stephen Curry shared his thoughts with reporters on achieving this historic feat. “It was a special moment, being able to do it at home,” Curry said. He also reflected, “It was a strange game because I didn’t have many opportunities, but it was still a special moment.”

Another win for the warriors

The Warriors secured their sixth consecutive win, climbing to the 6th spot in the Western Conference. The game also featured standout performances from Draymond Green, and of course, the two crucial three-pointers that propelled Stephen Curry into history.
