Drake is once again making headlines on social media after his recent performance at the Wireless Festival. He directed a harsh jab at Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, which did not go unnoticed by fans.

The origin of this drama goes back to 2024, when LeBron James got involved in a feud with the rapper. What happened? He was spotted at Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” concert, Lamar being Drake’s rival and arch-enemy. Before that incident, Drake and LeBron were friends, but their relationship began to deteriorate — and now it seems beyond repair.

Drake changed his lyrics to diss LeBron

According to Sportskeeda, during his performance of the song “Nonstop” at the Wireless Festival, Drake sent a clear message of disrespect to LeBron. He even changed the lyrics. Originally, the line said:
“I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron”, but he altered it to: “I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man.”

The video quickly went viral, and fans reacted in support of LeBron James with comments like: “He’s mad because he got the tattoo 😂😂”, “It’s funny until you realize Drake’s 40 beefin’ with a family man who doesn’t care”, “Bro lost one beef and never recovered”, “Grown man crying because LeBron doesn’t like him”, and
“What has LeBron even done to deserve Drake’s hate?”

In October 2024, Drake unfollowed LeBron James on Instagram, shortly after LeBron shared that he likes Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us”. Now, Drake has escalated things by publicly dissing him at the festival.

The most shocking part? Drake once had a tattoo honoring James, done in 2018. He had an image of LeBron’s jersey inked on his bicep. But now, he covered it up and turned it into a tribute to his fellow Canadian, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, shooting guard for the OKC Thunder.
