LeBron James was directly attacked by Colby Covington in a strong speech captured in a clip where someone asked for his opinion on the Los Angeles Lakers star.

The NBA legend recently had a confrontation with sports commentator Stephen A. Smith. It seems that Covington was upset about it and lashed out at LeBron with highly offensive remarks.

Although there have been previous exchanges between LeBron James and “Chaos,” this time the UFC fighter didn’t hold back. In fact, he openly supported Smith.

Covington’s contempt for James is clear

Covington’s statement was posted by Full Send MMA in a video where he was asked about the situation between LeBron and Smith. He immediately attacked the basketball star, calling him an “idiot.”

Covington’s harsh words were: “You’re an idiot, LeBron. You don’t care about this country that made you all that money, and I hope you get sick and get worse… I don’t want to say anything worse, but you’re a terrible human being. You put a target on the backs of our law enforcement officers, our damn first responders, the same ones you use privately to protect your family…”

As if that weren’t enough, he added: “You’re simply not a good person. You’re despicable. And I despise you. Hey, LeBron James, come face a real son of a bitch and get your ass kicked without your private security.”

The Smith-James dispute has nothing to do with Covington

The argument between LeBron James and TV host Stephen A. Smith began at the end of a Lakers vs. Knicks game. On an episode of First Take, Smith said:
“He approached me during the game and told me to stop talking about his son. ‘That’s my son. Stop talking about my son.’ “

Smith downplayed the incident, saying it was simply a father defending his child. However, Covington took the opportunity to criticize LeBron, tarnishing the NBA legend’s image.
