The Los Angeles Lakers were caught by surprise at the United Center, where they faced the Chicago Bulls. In the final seconds, Josh Giddey hit a half-court three-pointer, securing victory for his team with a 119-117 lead. The crowd was stunned by the Australian’s spectacular move.

Although the game seemed almost decided in favor of L.A., with a score of 115-100, Giddey made his game-changing shot with just 12.6 seconds left on the clock. His performance made him the standout player of the night, recording 14 rebounds, 25 points, and 11 assists in total.

An unexpected and masterful performance in the final seconds

The Chicago Bulls seemed to have resigned to defeat after two free throws by Austin Reaves, putting the Lakers ahead. However, Chicago quickly bounced back with a three-pointer from Patrick Williams. Giddey then seized the opportunity, stealing an errant pass from LeBron James and passing it to White, who hit another three-pointer, giving Chicago a 116-115 lead.

In response, the Lakers reacted immediately, and Reaves scored again, putting L.A. ahead 117-116. What no one expected was that Giddey would advance as he did, closing the game with that epic half-court shot, leading the Bulls to their ninth victory of the season.

A strong moment for Chicago

With this win, Billy Donovan’s franchise solidified an excellent moment in the Eastern Conference. The Chicago Bulls showed impressive performance on the court, with seven of their players scoring 10 points or more.

Meanwhile, the Lakers experienced a morale drop, as this marked their fourth loss in recent NBA games. The top scorer was Austin Reaves, who recorded 30 points, followed by Luka Doncic with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. LeBron James contributed 17 points and 12 assists.

Throughout the first three and a half quarters, Darvin Ham’s team controlled the game, but the Bulls outperformed them in the final seconds when they least expected it. Every mistake the Lakers made gave the Bulls a chance, and the result was crystal clear.
