Former Maverick Charlie Villanueva shared his thoughts on Flagg: “I think he’s ready for the pros… He struggled a bit in the first game, but that’s part of the process. I believe he’s going to be a phenomenal player, and I can’t wait to see him in a Mavs uniform.”

Villanueva also confessed that watching Dallas struggle last season hit him hard, especially after the team traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, a move that hurt the franchise deeply.

Now, he feels optimistic about the team’s future with Cooper Flagg and the roster reinforcements the Mavericks brought in. “The Mavericks made incredible moves by getting Cooper Flagg and signing D’Angelo Russell, and I believe the team has a very bright future,” he said.

With Flagg, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson leading the charge, Dallas now poses a serious threat to other NBA teams. Most likely, Flagg will stand at the center of any success the Mavericks achieve.
